Environmentally friendly vapor phase metal corrosion inhibitor for packaging has been successfully developed

An environment-friendly vapor metal corrosion inhibitor was introduced by a research institute in Hebei.

The advantages of using and beautifying packaging are widely used in military, machinery, aerospace, marine, instrumentation, automotive, measuring instruments, precision instruments and medical devices. However, for many years, nitrite-based corrosion inhibitors have been generally used as effective chemical components for vapor phase rust-proof papers, but nitrite-based and secondary amines are easily synthesized into nitrosamines in the human body to form a strong carcinogen. Harmfulness has caused people's great attention. Recently, the environmentally friendly gas-phase steel corrosion inhibitor successfully developed by Kangzhuang New Resource Technology Research Institute, Yutian County, Hebei Province, completely overcame various defects of the traditional similar products, making the steel non-toxic gas phase rust prevention a reality.
The new type of gas phase metal corrosion inhibitor developed by the institute is made of non-toxic natural extracts of inositol hexaphosphate as the main component, and is made up of ammonia and water. When the agent is applied on the packaging material, a dense single-molecule protective film layer can be formed on the metal surface to effectively inhibit metal corrosion. The volatilization reduction experiment and corrosion inhibition performance test of the closed space show that the performance of the gas phase corrosion inhibition additive is better than the nitrite corrosion inhibitor and is an ideal substitute for nitrite corrosion inhibitor.
