Tinplate is the main printing material for metal printing, and later there are low-priced Wuxi steel plates and ink steel plates. These materials are all low carbon cold rolled steel sheets. The metal substrate used as a decorative sheet for building materials is mainly an aluminum iron sheet. Aluminum is mainly printed in the form of sheet, aluminum foil and composite cans.
Tinplate Tinplate, also known as tinplate, is a tin plated steel substrate. The thin steel plate substrate is made of low carbon steel and its thickness is generally 0.1-0.4 mm.
Tin-plated steel can be divided into two tin-plating processes according to different tin-plating processes. The coating thickness is relatively thick, the amount of tin consumed is large, and the coating thickness is also difficult to control, so it is rarely used.
2. Electroplated tinplate. Also known as cold plated tinplate, plated steel plate substrates are plated uniformly with a forged film. Electroplated tinplate mainly includes alkaline plating, sulfate plating, halogen plating, and borofluoric acid plating.
In order to ensure the quality of tin-plated steel, a layer of cottonseed oil is generally applied on the surface of the steel sheet to form a protective film to prevent rust and scratches on the surface of the steel sheet. The amount of oil applied is generally controlled within the range of 2 to 4 mg/m2. In addition, in order to control the degree of surface oxidation, improve the ability to resist sulfidation, prevent surface discoloration and affect the printing color rendering effect, passivation treatment is often performed.
At present, tinplate printing materials used in China generally use imported materials for medium and high-grade prints, mostly Japanese materials. According to Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS G3303), there are mainly MR and MC steel plate materials. For electroplated tinplate (SPTE and SPTE-D) and hot dip-plated horse D iron, the amount of different coating deposits was determined as required.
Different types of steel plates have different properties. MR steel plate has good corrosion resistance and is generally used for food Packaging containers. If there is a higher requirement for corrosion resistance, MC steel plates may be used.
The function of the oil film is to prevent scratches on the surface caused by friction when the iron sheet is hard to accumulate, be bundled or transported, and to ensure that the surface state does not cause adverse effects on printing or coating.
The thickness of each layer of tinplate cross-section should be reasonably controlled. The standard data are as follows:
Film thickness: 10-6～10-5mm
Oxide layer thickness: 10-6~10-5mm;
Thickness of tin layer: 10-4~10-3mrn;
Alloy layer thickness: 10-4mm;
Base layer thickness: 10-1mm.
Wuxi Steel Sheet (TFS)
Wuxi thin steel sheet is completely tin-free steel sheet, and its protective layer is composed of extremely thin metal chromium and chromium hydroxide hydroxides, as shown in Figure 12-2. The chromium metal layer can improve the corrosion resistance, and the chromium hydroxide hydroxide can fill the pores on the chromium layer to achieve the purpose of rust prevention. In addition, since the TFS steel plate cannot be reflowed like tin, its surface gloss is poor. Therefore, the TFS plate printing is less vivid.
The standard thickness of each layer of the TFS steel plate cross section is as follows:
Oil film: 10-6～10-5mm;
Aluminum hydroxide layer: 10-5mm;
Metal chromium layer: 10-5mm;
Base layer: 10-1mm.
In use, adequate coating with a coating or other organic film will result in good adhesion of the oil film and good corrosion resistance after coating.
The zinc-iron plate is plated on the cold-rolled steel plate with a molten zinc-made zinc-iron plate. The colored coating plated on the zinc iron plate serves as a colored plate and is used as a decorative plate. From zinc-iron plates imported from Japan, there are mainly four kinds of zinc attachment stars, namely 183g/m2, 244g/m2, 305g/m2, and 381g/m2. For wall decoration, zinc iron plates of 183 g/m2 or more are generally used, and zinc iron plates of 244 g/m2 or more are generally used for roof decoration.
There are two kinds of aluminum sheet aluminum sheet, namely pure aluminum sheet and aluminum sheet. The mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of these two types of aluminum sheet are different, and should be used reasonably when used.
After repeated cold-rolling of the aluminum plate, the material becomes hard and brittle. Therefore, the aluminum plate should be quenched and tempered. In addition, when the coating or printing is performed, the softening phenomenon occurs due to the increase in temperature. Therefore, the material of the aluminum plate should be reasonably selected according to the purpose of use. The main features of aluminum are as follows:
1 Compared with tin plate and TFS plate, its weight is 1/3;
2 It will not generate oxides after it is colored like iron plate;
3 will not produce metal odor due to the removal of metal ions;
4 easy to surface treatment, natural color or artificial coloring can get bright color effect;
5 Its heat transfer performance and light reflectance are good.
As a packaging material, the aluminum sheet has excellent characteristics, and the surface reflectivity of the aluminum sheet is higher, the printing adaptability is better, and a good printing effect can be obtained.
